Our client is a leading certification company based in the UK and Europe and have a strong reputation in the engineering industry approving and certifying products and manufacturing processes before they are sold in the market.
As Approvals Engineer you will be approving designs, as well as test data reviews and carrying out inspection activities on products manufactured by their customers. You will be excellent at building relationships with clients and also have a strong engineering/technical background in order to be able to analyse stress and tolerance data.
This position would suit a recent mechanical engineering graduate, or someone who has a background within either mechanical design, mechanical engineering, project engineering, or quality control / certification within the engineering industry.

What’s involved for the Approvals Engineer…
- Review design and test data in accordance with relevant UKAS standards
- Develop test plans and inspection programmes
- Maintain technical knowledge and awareness of legislation and regulatory issues
- Respond to client technical enquiries
- Approve production specification
- Attend industry standards committees
What you’ll need…
- The ideal candidate will have an engineering manufacturing background or have a degree in engineering wanting to forge a career within the approvals and certification industry
- QA / QC background in engineering desirable
- Ability to communicate at all levels developing strong relationships
- MUST
- have full UK driving licence
- Have the want or ability to interpret technical data and drawings
- Formal mechanical engineering qualification is desirable
- Knowledge of the manufacturing process
- Full UK driving licence
