We are working with a well-established engineering client who is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their busy team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in mechanical systems, including power unit builds, fault finding, and commissioning equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a mechanical background with the ability to read schematic drawings and circuit diagrams. You will be familiar with carrying out testing, maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics.
This position would suit a candidate who is looking to develop their career into a senior management role.
What’s involved for the Mechanical Engineer…
- Build, fault find, and commission mechanical power units and systems
- Work with hydraulic, pneumatics, valves and piping
- Interpret mechanical circuit diagrams and schematics
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system faults
- Undertake on-site customer visits for testing and commissioning
- Support fabrication and welding tasks where necessary
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety
What you’ll need…
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical engineering (industrial or commercial)
- Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Assembly or Systems Engineering experience IDEAL
- Strong engineering skills
- Mechanical assembly experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics
- Full UK driving licence
- Good interpersonal and time management skills
