Our client is a world leading company based in Cambridge that owns £3 billion worth of assets which is built up of commercial and heritage estates across the region. You will play a key part in the future development of the company sites across the region. As well as assessing the needs for new buildings and refurbishments, you will be keeping a close eye on the overall construction and cost of all ongoing projects.

What’s involved for the Building Surveyor:-

• Manage new and refurbished building projects

• Manage, lead and motivate apprentice surveyor and sub contractors

• Write up and translate technical surveys and reports

• Ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget

• Direct project teams to achieve goals

• Negotiate fees with consultants

• Responsible for projects up to £1 million in value

• Identify and manage risks to budget

• Confidence to deal with stakeholders at all levels

What you’ll need:-

• Experience in Building Surveying

• Management or leadership experience

• Good communication and written skills

• Experience of managing building projects

• Effective decision making skills

• Qualification within Building Surveying
