£35,000 – £50,000 P.A Full Time, Permanent Cambridge Remote / Hybrid working
Working for world leading and innovative company based in Cambridge, the Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and delivering communications strategies and engagement activities that support the strategic priorities of the business. You will join an established internal communications team with direct line management, providing effective resource planning, training and development.
On a day-today basis, the role will report to the Head of Business Services and taking ownership of developing and delivering an effective communications strategy.
What’s involved for the Communications Manager:-
Create and implement an internal communications plan, making use of existing internal communications channels and developing them as appropriate.
Devise and manage communications plans to engage internal and external stakeholders
Provide marketing services for public events.
Develop communications and engagement plans that support the successful delivery of change programmes.
Coordinate activities with the Office of External Affairs and Communications.
Design and implement a communications and engagement strategy that supports the strategic priorities of the company as a whole.
Evaluate and review communications activities to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
Plan, manage and deliver internal and external communications and engagement activities via newsletters, intranet, website, social media, engagement events and direct communications.
Lead a high performing communications team, providing effective resource planning, line management, performance management, training, and development.
Monitor and analyse data to inform future strategy.
Manage external website and Intranet, including creation and editing of copy, sourcing of news articles, ensuring fresh, regular and relevant content, and liaising with the senior leadership teams to plan future content.
What you’ll need:-
Communications Management experience
Experience with internal and external communications
Able to write and compile compelling content for a wide range of audiences
Strong verbal, written and communication skills
Experience of contributing to strategic planning and of making complex decisions
Experience in leading, managing and developing staff
