Electrical Design Engineer

Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 (DOE) Peterborough Hybrid working (3 days WFH)

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a fast growing and dynamic engineering practice based in Peterborough.

The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in delivering a wide range of commercial and industrial projects throughout the UK. To be considered for this role you will already have Electrical Design Engineer experience within Building Services. You will provide second to none client care throughout the project life cycle.

As Electrical Design Engineer you will work on a variety of high-end projects from concept to completion providing designs, site surveys, technical reports and defect inspections. Our client is also willing to consider graduates with a relevant degree within electrical design.

What’s involved for the Electrical Design Engineer…

• Collaborating with the client and project delivery teams

• Produce electrical designs, calculations, equipment schedules and other technical information to meet the agreed project stage

• Understand the project brief and scope of building services required

• Cary out site surveys

• Participate in technical design reviews

• Produce technical reports

What you’ll need…

• Must have electrical CAD design experience

• Recent, relevant UK experience

• Amtech electrical design IDEAL

• Technical report writing ideal but not essential

• Good attention to detail

• Must have UK driving licence

• Commitment to continuous professional development.
