Peterborough Full Time, Permanent Up to £60,000 P.A
We are now looking for the next talented individual to lead an established finance team for one of our leading clients in Peterborough.
The successful candidate will have senior accounts experience and will be responsible for analysing financial information and implementing effective strategies to enhance business performance. You will also have experience managing and developing people.
Accountabilities for the Finance Controller…
Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth
Full P&L ownership for end to end performance of the business
Leading the planning and forecasting processes
Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making
Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis
Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations
Consolidation of group accounts
VAT
Review monthly payroll including commissions
Preparation of management accounts
Balance sheet reconciliations
Review company assets and liabilities
Manage a small accounting team
What you’ll need…
Qualified or part qualified ACCA / CIMA. Qualified by experience also considered
Proven experience within a similar role
Strong Excel skills (V Lookups, Pivot Tables etc)
Commercially aware
Ability to communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial
Highly competent, with solid commercial acumen
Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience of managing and motivating a small team
