Role Overview:

As the Head of Quality Assurance and Quality Control, you will be responsible for leading and shaping the company’s QA/QC strategy in alignment with corporate goals. You will oversee the development, implementation, and management of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality policies, ensuring rigorous compliance with MHRA GXP regulations. This role is critical in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Strategy and Leadership:

   • Develop and implement the QA/QC strategy to support the company’s business objectives.

   • Lead the QA/QC teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

2. Quality Management System (QMS):

   • Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of the Quality Management System, ensuring it meets all relevant regulatory standards.

   • Monitor the effectiveness of the QMS through regular audits, reviews, and updates.

3. Regulatory Compliance:

   • Ensure compliance with MHRA GXP regulations across all products and processes.

   • Lead preparation, coordination, and follow-up for regulatory audits and inspections.

   • Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities during inspections.

4. Quality Policies and Procedures:

   • Develop, update, and enforce Quality policies and procedures across the organization.

   • Ensure that all staff are trained in and adhere to these policies and procedures.

5. Continuous Improvement:

   • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

   • Promote a proactive approach to quality, emphasizing prevention over correction.

1. Collaboration and Communication:

   • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure quality considerations are integrated into all aspects of product development and commercialization.

   • Communicate quality performance, risks, and improvement plans to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a senior QA/QC role within the pharmaceutical industry.

• In-depth knowledge of MHRA GXP regulations and a track record of successful regulatory inspections.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

• Degree in a relevant scientific discipline
