In a nutshell…

We are working with a well-established engineering client who is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their busy team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in mechanical systems, including power unit builds, fault finding, and commissioning equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical background with the ability to read schematic drawings and circuit diagrams. You will be familiar with carrying out testing, maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics.

This position would suit a candidate who is looking to develop their career into a senior management role.

What’s involved for the Mechanical Engineer…

• Build, fault find, and commission mechanical power units and systems

• Work with hydraulic, pneumatics, valves and piping

• Interpret mechanical circuit diagrams and schematics

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical system faults

• Undertake on-site customer visits for testing and commissioning

• Support fabrication and welding tasks where necessary

• Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety

What you’ll need…

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical engineering (industrial or commercial)

• Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Assembly or Systems Engineering experience IDEAL

• Strong engineering skills

• Mechanical assembly experience

• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics

• Full UK driving licence

• Good interpersonal and time management skills
