Our client is a market leading company that specialises in the manufacture and supply of commercial equipment all over all over the world. The company focuses and prides themselves on creating innovative solutions for their customers which makes them the best at what they do!

Supporting the Operations Director, you will spearhead the whole supply chain function, driving change and improvement. You will be responsible for a team of 5 direct reports and whilst taking full ownership of the stock, inventory control, supply chain and procurement across the whole facility. You will also support counter sales and have a strong presence within the warehouse and logistic departments.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in supply chain at a management level and proven experience of developing teams and driving continuous improvement at a strategic level.

What’s involved for the Supply Chain Manager…

• Delivering the pricing strategy for parts

• Responsible for sourcing and managing the supply chain internally and with 3rd party suppliers

• Develop relationships and help increase revenue streams and margins with key customers

• Stock management

• Take full ownership of van stock process

• Implement process and continuous improvement

• Be responsible for people management including absence, performance and resource management

• Attend key management meetings

• Enforce Health & Safety across the warehouse

• Manage budgets and deliver financial plans

• Effectively manage procurement and inventory control

• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers

What you’ll need…

• Supply chain management experience essential

• Strong stock management skills

• Experience of supplier negotiations

• Ability to produce and deliver presentations

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to communicate at all levels

• Commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and analyse data

• Experience of implementing lean or continuous improvement

Desirable…

• Formal procurement or supply chain qualification (CILT)

• NEBOSH qualification
