In a nutshell…

Our client is a leader in logistic solutions across the UK. Their products are delivered all over the UK to the retail and food manufacturing industry, typically delivering in excess of 15,000 pallets of food and packaging per week.

Our client has continued to expand, providing its services to manufacturers and importers where their business has grown tenfold. Due to this growth, they are now looking to recruit a Transport Coordinator to manage the vehicle fleet as efficiently and profitable as possible whilst ensuring deadlines are met.

What’s involved for the Transport Coordinator…

• Ensure that all deliveries are cost efficient

• Allocation of drivers and vehicles to appropriate routes taking into account driver hour regulations

• Planning of backhauls

• Plan collections from third party warehouses

• Daily communication with drivers

• To undertake general transport admin duties

What you’ll need…

• Transport Planning / Logistics or Coordinator experience

• Previous experience dealing with drivers

• Excellent Microsoft Office experience

• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels

This is a Full time, permanent Transport Coordinator role, working Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm.
